I play alot of PLO and love the game.I rarely see people on this forum talk in detail about winrates at $25's/0.25/0.50 blinds,$50's/0.50/$1.00 and the $1-2 blind/Party $100 games.

Any body out there got some numbers to bounce off after fairly decent samples sizes for these games-say 200/300+ hours???

Hi,

I've been playing PLO at small tables (.25/.50) for a few months, on Paradise, Stars, Party and Ladbrokes, and in 200 hours of play my rate is 9$/hour, 18 BB, but the problem is i am usually multitabling, so i guess it's around 10-15 BB/hour (since i play much better when i play only one table) on a single table. But i think i am a much better player now, so my rate should be above the 20 BB/ hour line.

I say that because I just moved up 2 weeks ago to .50/1 tables, and my results are considerably better : i play on only one table now, which i think is much more profitable for my style (quite agressive), and my hour rate is 35 BB/ hour, but on only 30 hours. I guess it's quite realistic, considering i improved my game a lot lately, to say i can make 20 BB/ hour easily when i dont multitable.
By the way, i see about 15% of flops, not counting the blinds, and usually i loosen up a little when i have a big stack, around 20%.

I hope it was helpful, dont hesitate to give your numbers. By the way, an advice to everybody who needs one : i really improved my hour rate by doing two things : keeping records of every minute played (separate records for each poker site), and focusing on PLO for a while.

See you

sahaguje.

PS : do you know good books about omaha ? I've only read Omaha poker by ciaffone and PL and NL poker by ciaffone and reuben. Are there any other interesting texts ?

your numbers are similar to mine at the $25's after 450 hours.I have played up to $2-4 on PokerStars.I'm going to start to play the Party $100's.

Beating these low limit PLO games for 11-15 times the bigblind is very doable if you play well(by low limit I'm referring to the lowest of limits .10/.25 and 0.25/.50 maybe 0.50/1.00 after large samples).I was just looking for earn rates from people that have alot of hours in any of these game :0.25/0.50,0.50/1.00 and $1-2.These earn rates seem to corrolate to NLHE/PLHE win-rates at various limits.BUT low limit I make more in PLO than NL/PLHE at similar limits because the play is so horrid.

Ciaffone PLO advice is not lenghty but it's very good.He plays very tight which is good for full ring games and low limit games full of fish.BUT you need to learn how to loosen up well to take it to the next level in PLO.Stewart Reuben has a new PLO book out-he is a wildman..the book has gotten mixed reviews.I may buy it soon and take a look...

Party's 0.50/1.00 never goes.InterCasino Poker has 0.50/1.00's that are very good but spotty. In general I dont like PokerStars action..the pot averages are tiny!

I wished PLO worked with PokerTracker.

thnx for your feedback!

I've been playing the Paradise $50 PLO for a couple of weeks off and on and have been doing a little bit better than that. However I've also had a really good run of cards and haven't made too many costly mistakes (yet). I've played there 11 hours and made around $400 which is just $36 BB/hr. However, I will say again - this is a tiny sample and some of the players in the games I was in were AWFUL.

I used to play alot of PLO at Paradise -like a year ago.
I'm talking 200/300/400 hour samples.I find that my earns are better in PLO vs bigbet Holdem games but I tend to run streakier with a few big wins in 3-4 sessions then 2-3 crappy sessions.I have not computed my hourly standard deviation in any of my games..but I play very tight pre-flop ... my sd's are most probably more than my sd at a full bigbet ring holdem game(nl/pl) but less than 6MAX nl/pl.

i would of done maybe 250 table hours of the $100 buy-in game at party in the last 7 months - i multi table up to 3 if that many are available

i havent kept detailed records but i reckon i make about 8-10 BB's an hour, $16-$20 per table - i reckon my pot limit omaha game is average at best but way better than most who play in this school

i have spent a lot of time in the paradise games in the past - mostly the $400 $2/$4 game - thats a tougher game - i won but my rate in terms of BB's/hour would be half or less than the party games

thnx Strip thats what I thought the 8-10 range in the $1-2 sounds reasonable since it's fairly easy to do 10-14 in the smaller games.

any idea what your hourly sd is at one table of $1-2?
