Two Table and Three Table SNGs at Party

Well right now I'm in a two table limit (that's all they have) and a three table NL game at party. So far so good. Blinds increase once every 20 minutes which is a huge step up from the single table tournaments blind structure of once every 10 hands.

I think it's supposed to be 10 minutes, not 20. Right?

Right now it is definately 20 minutes. I dont know if it changes as the tourney progresses because I'm only on level 1.

And you start with 1000 chips as opposed to the normal 800.

I'm pretty sure that's a mistake, and they'll correct it. This is probably why they are running these at $5 only so no one flips out when they screw it up.

Yea I can't see how this would be normal. The limit SNG I am playing has been going for 34 minutes now and still has not lost a single player.

20 minutes is to long they need to change it.

I would settle for 10 or 15.

Yes 20 minutes is wayyyy too long. I ended up quitting the SNG because it took so long and I had to leave. Almost two hours after I started we had about 15/30 people left.

I agree that they are long, but it should give some decent tournament expirience. Though I doubt party will keep it like this.

1am EST 6/10/2004 they seemed to have stopped creating new ones. When I sat down to play, they were only running 3 table ones.

Which is a damn shame. I enjoyed them a bunch. Only manged to money in 1 out the 2.

I found them very enjoyable. You get enough chips and slow enough blind increase you have a bit more play, plus you spend a LOT of time with the same people, so if you are good at learning your opp tendencies it pays of nicely when it gets short handed. AND there is around 30k chips in play, so there is still some play left.

for me to sit through 20 min levels they will have to offer these at the 50 and 100 level.

2 hours to get to 100/200 is still to long even then.

I had a look yesterday and they were lasting up to 3 hours, the guys playing didn't seem to even notice the blinds were going up too slowly, this is definitely a technical error with the setups imo. Look forward to seeing 10 min blind increases.

From the party web page, the blinds were supposed to be 10min, but i think they had the problems, last night, the 20s and 30s were running, but the 5s had stopped.

I played a three-table that started around 3 PM EST today and the blinds increased every ten minutes like they were supposed to. I think the whole thing was over in about 1h 45min.

You played a 5 today? All I have seen is 20 and 30s. That was around your time. I really want to play one this weekend. I am starting my bankroll from scratch on party poker after moving it to UB.
