As we all know, T.V. is being credited for much of the growth of no-limit hold'em over the past couple years. I'm sure it has helped other forms of poker to grow as well but definately not to the point it has helped no-limit texas hold'em. This year ESPN is airing a small number of events from the 2004 WSOP other than the $10,000 buy-in main event no-limit tournament. Here is the current air time schedule...

Sept. 7 10 p.m. Main Event
Sept. 14 9 p.m. Main Event

What makes me curious is the question that, could the televised events besides hold'em experience any growth as well? I would say that it's unlikely any of them would catch on like no-limit hold'em has. I think to T.V. veiwers no-limit hold'em is exciting and amazing, due to the amount of money involved, to watch. I think it will always have a lock on the majority of armchair poker players. But the question still remains. Will the newly televised forms of poker experience growth? And furthermore, if any, which will gain the most in popularity from the newly televised events?
