Ace Eight Off Hand

Fifteen thirty somewhere in nor cal. Completely average player (for this limit) limps six off button. I’m in the cutoff and I limp, SB folds, three players.


Flop is Q77 with two clubs. I have the ace of clubs. BB checks, average guy bets, I call.

You should muck this hand. Its a rag that you have no need to play unless stealing the blinds. If you are going to play it you should raise and try to get the blinds out. I will occaisionally make this play if the limper is loose passive and the blinds are tight.

I don't like your limp pre-flop and I don't like your call on the flop. Although your flop call is probably better than your limp.

I think you should have folded before the flop.
