Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 raises, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button 3-bets, Hero ?

This seems to be an uncomfortable situation. What's your play?

I would fold it.

Seems like a nice hand, doesn't play out to be that good many times. I learnt that the hard way.

Unless the button is a maniac I think you have a pretty easy fold.

If they were suited, would you still fold in this situation?

I fold AQo and call AQs (possibly cap the latter if many coldcallers are in the pot)

What reads do you have on these players? If the Button is a LAG, or likes to raise on the button, then I will call. If MP1 is a LAG, I will cap since he will probably cap it anyway.

If you have no reads, I would call and play the flop carefully, but it really depends on how you feel about your post-flop play whether to call or not.

Let's put this in perspective: it's 3-bet ahead of you and you're out of position with AQo. What are you hoping to flop?

Unless they're loose raisers, you're probably dominated, and you'll lose the AJ, AT and Ax hands that make AQ profitable.

If this is a profitable situation, I doubt it's much of one, and the variance is huge.

Is button the type that would 3-bet with AJ or AT or KQ? If so I might call it, but I'd say 95% of the time I'm folding this. Even if the flop hits me, I can't really play my hand strog enough vs. a PF 3-better to make a lot with it.

More trouble than it's worth in this spot, IMO.

And I do play AQ as a strong hand. I will raise or 3-bet with it from most positions against most people.

Easy fold.

AQs is probably close.

I folded. Like bisonbison said, I couldn't really think of many flops I'd like to see in this situation. I don't know what I would do if it were AQs.
