Typical PP .5/1. Generally loose and passive. MP2 hasn't been here 1 full orbit yet, no read. MP1 has >90% VP$IP, but otherwise typically passive. UTG+1 is a rock I see all the time.

Other than considering checkraising the flop, I see nothing wrong.

I think a check-raise here is wrong because if you bet there's a good chance you'll get raised by the preflop raiser, allowing you to 3bet and put more money in the pot. If the raiser had be right to your left and you knew he would be I might be more inclined to checkraise and trap everyone for two. A check raise in this situation may also knock a bunch of players out.

I agree that check/raising the flop is wrong... what I was thinking is should I have smooth called the flop raise, then bet/3-bet the turn, giving me more big bets rather than the small bets I got on the flop...

As I played it, I got 3 small bets from each player on the flop, and just 1 big bet each on the turn and river. Smooth calling the flop raise, then getting a 3 bet on the turn would net me 2 small bets each and 4 big bets each if they hung around. On the other hand, there is a straight possibility and flush draw out there... do I want them to see a turn relatively cheap?

I was gonna address that in my first post actually - I'd be more inclined to call the flop raise and then raise the turn if the board was a bit less threatening. It's not a terrible board, but it's not great either.

If anyone cares, here are the results:

ZootMurph shows 8h 8d (three of a kind, eights).
UTG+1 shows Ks Qs (one pair, queens).
MP1 shows 3h 4h (two pair, fours and threes).
Outcome: ZootMurph wins 17.75 BB.
