The American Gaming Association just came out with its yearly survey.

In it, they have a section on Poker.

Nevada poker revenue in 2003 was 68 million compared to 57.5 million in 2002.

New Jersey poker revenue in 2003 was 37.1 million compared to 32.5 million in 2002.

Another interesting finding was that people who are politically independent are more likely to play poker than republicans or democrats.

I've noticed that. People who identify as 'independent,' even those who are registered Democrat or Republican, are more prone to consider non-self weighting strategies, and able to cope with 'it depends' clauses as part of their answers/decision making processes, than those who fervently cling to a party line.
