I was wondering whether any player who made it to a final table of the WSOP, or even just a WPT event, has ever set forth a diary or journal summarizing each stage of his tournament, along with notable hands. I've seen finalists or winners recount a small number of hands, but never a summary of the various stages of a tournament.

Can anyone point me to any such resource?

Although I didn't much care for it,

Positively Fifth Street

seems to fit that bill.

Yeah, you're right, that book does fit the bill.

But I was really interested in such an account from the perspective of a pro, or someone really respected.

See if you can find a copy of the "Andy Bloch Project." It was on Conjelco awhile back and is hand-by-hand summary, including the player's thoughts, of Bloch's appearance in the main event of the '97 WSOP chamionship event, where he busted out 44th or so. It is a fascinating read.

I found it, and it looks to be very interesting. Thanks!
