I have just run on to the CW threads and am doing some research.

Seems to be alot of mention of Pounds, but I can't find any answers...does the whoring have to be done in pounds, or what?

Also, what is the autoplay? I am assuming it will automatically play...basic strategy??

No, but it is preferable, as a pound is approximately 1.8 dollars. So, a 50 pound deposit, 200 pound bonus is worth 1.8 times as much as a $50 deposit, $200 bonus.
