casino whoring? how do the casinos do it?

inter gave me a 90 dollar casino bonus yesterday. i had never played blackjack before and i won 460 dollars while completing the bonus. i did play from a chart, but still, how can the casinos possibly make money if i cleaned them out playing a game i had never even played. i am amazed that i have 550 dollars from one night of playing, maybe i need to quit playing poker if this is what i get from playing bj. was i just lucky or are people on here generally winners at blackjack/casino whoring?

You were incredibly lucky. BJ, even perfectly played, is a game with a house edge. You can generally expect to end down more often then you end up.

Bearing that in mind, that means the bets you placed were as, or more, likely to end DOWN $460 as up by that amount.

over the long haul you won't win at blackjack, but you could come very close to breaking even. so the being up $460 idea isn't something you can count on, even with the charts.

i used to bonus hunt regularly, and you usually lose. but not the whole bonus. i would tend to get my investment back, plus a good portion of the bonus money. back in those days the playthrough requirements were 3x (bonus+deposit). those days have changed.

if you're going to do this stuff, read the fine print. lots of games are disallowed these days, and some casinos have wild Terms&Conditions with terribly high playthrough requirements. that's how they keep from losing tons of cash to hunters.

i've given it up, but i think the current community of bonus hunters lives at winneronline. they may have some info on the most hunter friendly prey.
