Is Casino whoring more profitable than learning to Play Poker better?

Since this has become the "Casino Whoring" forum, I've been wondering:

Are you guys doing so poorly in your poker play that casino whoring is more valuable to you than getting better at playing poker?

Are we as a group not that good at poker? So we need bankroll infusions from casino bonuses. This depresses me.

I'm only a marginal poker winner myself, but I think focus on poker will produce a higher ROI than time spent on casinos. Am I wrong?

For each casino that I whored over the last 10 days, I spent about 5 minutes signing up/depositing and starting the autoplay.

I did this for 10 casinos.

I therefore spent about 50 minutes of my time.

I made $2400.

AND I played poker WHILE the autoplay was running.

But I think that when people are literally handing out free money for doing nothing.. Well why not take it?

With a bunch of people clearing a bonus at a net profit and taking money out of their site, are the casinos going to continue to offer these bonuses?

Or are people like zooers such a small part of the total player pool that they don't notice this group of people being a profit drain to them?

Casino whoring is easily more profitable than is poker for 99.99% of poker players. Unfortunately, casino whoring is only a temporarily profitable situation, as each casino is only profitable once.

BW is a great way to build a BR while increasing your poker skills. My experience is that skill building takes a lot longer than these $50 to $1M in 15 minutes challenges tend to indicate (While the plans may be good for an already good player). If you are new, BW is the easiest/low risk money you'll make. If you can beat 15/30 for 2.5 BB per table hour BW is useless unless you are broke and without a Bankroll. If you can BW while studying or playing at the same time...then there's no downside to free money.

The casinos make lots of $ from bad players. They would like to get rid of bonus whores, but then how do they announce themselves to the general public (read losers)?.

They limit their "damage" by BW making it only a "signup" or "come back" offer. It is generally a "once off" for Bonus hunters, but the general public keeps coming back to line the casino's pockets.

In general, online casinos, make a lot more on their turnover than their onland counterparts with heavy costs. The online casinos use part of these cost savings for "marketing". Bonus whoring is preying on the "marketing".

As a side note, if one is wiling to walk 6-8 hours a day, one can "bonus whore" (called couponomy) in LV onland casinos to the tune of $100+ per day, a team of husband-wife can make a low-risk income of $6K per month on a $30 per head monthly bus ticket in the LV Strip (and I'm not including the more expensive coupon books that one can purchase). Easy?. No. A pain in the ass?. Yes. Low risk?. Definitely. The easiest way for a homeless to get out of the gutter without a job?. Yes.

Just curious, what type of offers are you talking about here?

Yeah. Daily coupon at different games times 3 different shifts times N different casinos. Tons of free money... You don't even have to ask for the coups most of the time. The other "clients" leave them laying around everywhere, especially on weekends/holidays. It's the thing most akin to picking $10 bills from the floor that I have ever seen. Sometimes you can play 10 "daily" coupons at different tables, pits, etc. Some casinos even give you ACTUAL $ (in coins). The Land of Abundance, if there ever was one.

I agree. For a disciplined, instructed, +EV oriented individual or couple, it's a great CASH deal.

I would move there in a second, coupon hunt/exercise as a break from daily grinding at poker/ online BW. Sadly, my wife would have none of it. It would get old after I while for me anyway. I'm having trouble putting in the hours needed for long term poker success.

how can you get $100 in bonuses each day? i've been to vegas there several times. some casinos give out $5 and $10 match play coupon sheets once a month. So how do u do it everyday? which casinos?

we indeed are such a small group that it would not even be a blip.

at casinomeister there are hundreds and hundreds of whores discussing this 24/7.

also, similar to JW, i placed 4th in a multi at paradise monday (tiny tourney), while my auto-play was running in the taskbar.

I would not consider myself an expert. I just read a lot and researched alot and did em all these last two weeks.

You said you found the answers to your questions. If you have any others let me know.

I would say look at BW.com and decide which is best for yourself to start with.

Also dont forget about captaincooks and casinokingdom.

And dont forget to choose pounds when you can.
