Lorinda,

You once informed us that Golden Palace Poker has a long track record of playing games with customer's money and not paying cashouts. Do you still believe this is true?

Lori

Yes.

Since then they appear to have a decent continuous record of paying up, but I believe my original investigations were true.

Lori,

Do you still work for bonuswhores?

Why do you think it has a postive review from Jek?

He said their software and support is good. And there was nothing negative in it.

I really do wish you would post a link or copy/paste a quote with directions how to find the quote.

Thanks

I am only hired for BW.com for one small aspect of their work, so my views are nothing to do with theirs.

My guess is that their history of continuous payment makes them less risk (I believe they changed management or similar since the old problems, but I don't know for sure)

Lori is much more like a contractor than employee. If Lori maintaned that she didn't work for BW.com, I would be hard pressed to argue against her.

Why not just ask Jek? Oh well, I'll save you the trouble. Golden Palace Poker has a fine track record. Their most dubious thing are their cashout requirements which we have listed right on their page. In fact, being only one of 2 poker sites on BW.com that have that sort of restriction, you could even say their review is unfavorable.

No, nothing nasty. rJ has never been part of BW.com. My partner was Tdiddy, but we have since parted ways (nothing nasty here either, just a loss of interest in poker from Tdiddy.)

For the purposes of full disclosure, I do pay rJ $.01 per useful suggestion he gives me...so I guess you could even say he's on the payroll /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Jek's review is accurate about Vic Chandler/Golden Palace and any of the numerous VC/GP skins.

It's a small well-run little room with mostly a mix of UK and American players.A year ago when I first played there it was almost all UK players. The action is best at UK prime playing hours. Also NLHE is the big game.Action dies at nite EST.They often have very good games but they dont last long. They also have alot of value in their tourneys ie freerolls, guaranteed pools etc.they just opend up cash PLO,Omaha last month but games are rare.

The cashout restiction do suk.

Golden Palace once had a huge "bonus abuse" scandal
Wizard of Odds on Golden Palace a few years ago (http://wizardofodds.com/casinos/golpalstatement.html)

They have a much better reputation now it seems, at least in the poker side. VC is obviously a huge name in the UK.

My issue is the only time I tried to cashout from them I was going to leave my profit in and cash out my deposit amount. They required I send them my ID and a utility bill copy simply to get the amount I sent them out. I saw this as a sleazy stall tactic that no other poker room had ever done to me. I had cashed out $9000 out of both Party and Big Bet at once and never had to provide anything, why was this $200 such a security issue? I decided that since that is how they do business I would cash it all out. I had to send them the copy twice, "we cant verify this copy" was their first excuse. Then after a week went by of my daily emails they started offering me the sleazy "reverse your cashout bonus" which I ignored and continued to email them.

23 days after requesting this cashout I finally received my money. Although their tourneys have lots of extra monry added and lots of points freerolls and loose games, these tactics lost them a Poker Addict forever.

yes thats old news that we all have known about for a long time.

I agree the intial cashout was a hassle that I was very pissed off about. But since that first cashout mid of last year I've made multiple cashouts to Neteller w/o a problem. If you had had Neteller to start w/the delays may not have been so bad.I know at one time you had had problems w/ Neteller but now everything is cool right? I cant imagine not using Neteller. If for some reason the online poker community in the USA loses access to Neteller it will be a major hassle /images/graemlins/frown.gif

The room is better managed over the last year definetly.I understand your being pissed.
