It turned out to be a little anticlimactic and the pot was small but I was still kind of jazzed. I thought I was never going to get one. Now I can re-live the glory to my hearts content via PokerTracker.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif. MP3 posts a blind of $4.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises, MP2 folds, MP3 (poster) calls, CO folds, Button calls $5.50 (All-In), SB folds, BB folds.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif, T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)
Hero bets, MP3 calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)
Hero bets, MP3 folds.

River: (5.75 BB) A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: 5.75 BB
Main Pot: 3.41 BB, between Button and Hero. > Pot won by Hero (3.41 BB).
Pot 2: 1.33 BB, won by Hero.
Pot 3: 1 BB, overbet by Hero.

Results in white below:
Hero shows Qc Qd (straight flush, ace high).
Button shows 8h 5h (high card, ace).
Outcome: Hero wins 5.75 BB.

My first was a diamond flush too. You're supposed to get a PartyPoker baseball cap I believe.

I got a royal flush on party once too and I never got a baseball cap. Do I have to tell them or something?

I'm told that they send you a congratulations e-mail and say that you have to e-mail them back with the hand # for your complimentary gift.

I never got an e-mail so I called them and asked. Guy confirmed it with his supervisor and told me who to e-mail with the hand #. I did and they said I should be getting it in a few weeks.

I am camped out next to my mailbox as we speak. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

That kicks ass. I want a hat. I picked up a hand of 4 aces plus a king the other day. Do I get a hat for that? /images/graemlins/cool.gif

No, but at my local indian cardroom you get $50.

But while we're on the subject of royals... the diamond royal pays about $5000 there. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Boo. I've had 4 royals on party and no hat for em. If its the same hat the affiliates got, I don't mind because it looks funny on my head.

I don't think I could get myself to sport poker apparel.

That's a shame, the PokerStars hat is very nice. You probably aren't a hat guy.

Call them up.

I just got mine. It's dark blue with the PartyPoker.com logo with the little $ chip in the middle.

Going to wear it when I play live in hopes of attracting more fishies. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Does PS offer a hat for a Royal? I hit one last week at the end of a TERRIBLE session- was down to $5.50 and playing out the last of my buyin when it hit, of course. Won a huge $14 pot. Shows me yet again that allowing my stack to get so low and continue playing anyway is the height of folly.

I just sent them an e-mail. With Party Poker it is probably best to never hold one's breath however. Thanks for the headsup though.
All the best.
