How does one figure out a table is LAG. The way I've been measuring it lately is 50% of the hands are pre-flop raised and average 4-6 see the flop. This is for both online and casino.
How are those measuring statistics?

i love math concepts and statistical ones as well...
but even this one streaches the usefullness of such a concept lol.
its a LAG table when no flop goes unraised...you see turn 3bet semibluffs and other such plays and a crazy person going raise raise raise and hit a straight on the end to beat a flopped set. its a lag table when lots of pots get seen and people are competing for control in a hand.
very easy to recognize, profitable but swingy, and all in all better to be at the passive game...
in a live game the lag tables usually feature hooting and hollering and 2+2'ers playing below their normal levels while embibing ale, scotch, beer, or what have you in while laying out $500 or maybe it was $1000 on a 4-8 table (right DanS?). that is a lag table....when K2o appears to be a 3 betting hand.
so in sum, don't worry about the percentages here...just look at the texture of the game...you'll know when you see it.

There is a difference between LAG and maniacal.
Many times on a LAG, there is a point, usually the turn, where aggression tends to slow down a bit. Then they realize they are too far in the hand and have put too much money in to abort their hands. Which in some cases, would be a mistake to do so at that point.

yea yea i was just making a point...
sometimes an hyperbole can be more effective than reality in conveying a point while at the same time make light of the situation.
thanks for taking me so seriously.

Most of your points were dead on about a LAG table. You do realize that in a 2 dimensional format it is tough to convey if you are making light of a situation. There is not inflection in a typed format.
