UB 2-4? I play there some times. There are a few good players, a couple of very good players, and a lot of not-so-good to out-and-out bad players.

What else do you want?

I'm not saying you just aren't experiencing a run of bad luck. However, it's worth noting that because of the speed of online hold 'em, you may not have time to analyze the play of each apparent bad beat.

When I play online I open up "Word notepad" and copy and paste a lot of the hands played. When I'm out of play I review the questionable hands. I make a note of fishy calls and who made them.

Sometimes, though, I find that rather than having gotten the bad beat I had assumed, I'm just the victim of a good play.

That happens at 2-4. If you run bad, you will feel like it's a bingo game. When you run good, the chasers will pay you off with interest.

If they are betting the runner hands, then they are bluffing or semibluffing and the game is tougher than it appears.

Many B&M casino winners have a hard time online due to the speed, beats, more aggressive players, ect. If you have a winning game it will turn around. Game selection is the key.

You hav to expect have large swings in a 2-4 game, especially if many people are seeing the flop. The trick is not to Jam it up with top pair, but to put in a lot of action with big draws (assuming you are getting several callrs) and playing hands that can make the nuts like 55, and A6s, your swings will be big but if you know what you are doing your wins should be decent as well. (keep in mind I've never played that small, I usually play two 20-40s on PP).

An above average/good player should be able to absolutely slaughter the 2/4 games at Party Poker, as they are insanely soft. I deposited $300 there at the beginning of August, and my account now stands at $1750 after playing approximately 4000 hands during the month (80% 2/4 & 20% 3/6).

Even though my bankroll has gone up $1500 in all, I actually lost $150 in an hour 2 or 3 times in this span, so you definitely need to have a bankroll large enough to withstand these bumps in the road.

I am not a great player by any means, but I am better than most of the other players there, and I suspect you are too. Give it another shot, maybe you just had a bad run of cards.
