for single tables, it's stay tight till level 4 (50/100 blinds), then be more loose and raise 3BB with slightly lesser hands. if very short stacked (4BB or less), go all in with AXs, KXs, Q8s+, A8+, K8+, any 2 face cards, any connected cards, any 1 gap suited, and any pair.

What's the basic strategy for multi-tables. and how can you tell on Party how many players are left and their chip count?

To see the tournament lobby, go to the main lobby, go to multi-table tournaments, find the one you're currently in, and open it up. You'll see who's still playing, average chip count, etc.

As for general strategy, I recommend going to the search section of the forums and search for "gap concept" under multi-table tournaments. This is one of the most important strategies you'll run across in MTTs. Once you understand and apply that concept, you'll find yourself doing a lot better. Also, you might want to invest in a copy of "Tournament Poker for Advanced Players" (TPFAP) and if you don't already have it "Theory of Poker" (TOP).

Good luck, and have fun!
