Does anyone know any states, in which you can play in B&Ms if you're under 21? I really like playing irl over online, but don't get much of a chance besides the weekly homegame, which is more for fun ($5 NLHE tournament /images/graemlins/tongue.gif).

Where are you located? Some places, like Turning Stone in central NY, don't serve alcohol so you can get in if you're 18. Also, if you live close to Canada, their drinking age is 19 so you can go to a few places there.

I live in central Illinois, and am looking for someplace not quite as far as NY /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for the info though

I am 19 years old. I've been to Turning Stone in NY and in Florida, where I live, the indian casinos (even though they serve alcohol) and the casino boats let you play if you are 18 or older. The only problem is the restrictions on the limits. Max is straight 2, unless you go on the boats.

When I was 18, I played at Soaring Eagle, in Mt. Pleasant Michigan. It is maybe 5 hours from Chicago. I have heard rumours that their poker room is now closed. Look into it before you go, but they are 18+ gambling.

I live in Michigan and am 19 years old. The only place that I can play poker at is Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant Michigan. They did close their poker room for 1 year due to managemnet problems but it is now re-opened. They have 12 tables in a gorgeous room. It is a smoking card room. They just re-opened in March and as of now they don't have any tournaments running, but those are soon to come. They spread the following games (at busy times when all tables are full)

$3/$6 Stud - Two Tables (Great Game)
$3/$6 Hold'em - Six Tables (Incredibly Loose Game)
$6/$12 Hold'em - Two Tables (??)
$10/$20 Hold'em - One Table (Same regulars play with a few tourist every night - tight, tough, but beatable game)
$3/$6 Omaha - One Table (??)

Their hours are:
Thursday - 10 am to 2 am (Fri morning)
Friday - opens at 10 am and is open until 2 am Sunday night/Monday morning.

I would highly recommend this card room if you are willing to make the drive, which I would think is just under 5 hours from the Chicago area. There are plenty of cheap hotels and restraunts in that area as well. If you would like directions or any other information on this casino PM me. Good luck and I hope this helps.

There is also a card room in Harris, MI and in Traverse City, MI. You only have to be eighteen to enter these casinos also. The card rooms are fairly small and only open during very limited hours.
