Tough beat but I could never lay your hand down. He actually gave any diamond draws a cheap shot. And not popping preflop with AA inivites all kinds of disater meaning he could be facing middle straight draws too. He shoulda popped you on the flop I think. I still wouldn't lay it down though /images/graemlins/smile.gif

You lost the hand but AA guy played it bad in my opinion. He gave himself way too many chances to get cracked.

I agree. He said afterwards he was hoping for a raise so he could reraise preflop.... Reading too much SuperSystem, I think.

nope...you're dead and so am I -

about his not raising preflop/post flop - I don't like it personally, and I've seen guys bust out doing it, but when they win, they drag a monster - he had a fairly big stack, and he probably did expect a reraise (he's utg+1, and if it's an aggressive table, you almost always see a raise)

so I'm not gonna rip on his play as much as the other guy - but to answer your question, no...you got outflopped in a bad way and it'll cost you just like if you had KK vs his AA.

About the only thing I'm doing differently is not giving him a chance to raise the turn since all my chips are in once the second flush card hits (2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif). Same end result, of course.

Your stack isn't deep enough to survive this one. But I don't disagree with his play the way everyone else did. When the blinds are still so small, I think it's a shame to make a raise and win 75 chips with AA or KK. So limp-reraising is a viable alternative as far as I'm concerned, as long as you play post-flop accordingly.
