You played it fine, I would have been tempted to cap the flop and lead the turn. No way you're not capping that river.

Was afraid of that. Sad thing is, his TT meant it wasn't even a bad beat. I was behind the whole way.

I don't think you can slow down. Especially on the river, since now the flush doesn't even concern you.

I probably would have capped the flop but called the turn raise. I get worried when people raise after I cap.

I would have bet out on the flop. Most of the time your opponent will slowdown after a checkraise.
And if you bet out on the flop and he raises you, you can either 3 bet or checkraise the turn.
I'm not slowing down on the river either.

Well played. Sorry about the results. Sometimes you just run into better hands.

All the best,

Colgin

I think huge mistake was not betting flop, what if he checks and then a flush card comes on turn, becomes much harder. This is also heads up now. I would cap the flop, bet the turn, and see if they are willing to raise, then I'd call. On the river I would have played the same.

Sounds like the main criticism of my play is that I should have lost another bet or two along the way. Seems about right.

Well if you were both to check the flop, flush card comes, what do you do bet, get raised, 3 bet? Or check, get a bet, and then either call or raise? I decision is what I believe becomes harder if you don't bet the flop.
