I was trying to get a call on the river from a weaker hand, like one pair or something. Or perhaps let him catch a pair so he'll call the river.

Do you raise a river bet regardless of the card? I don't, and like the turn check as it also may induce a bluff form a hopeless hand.

I like the turn check. Nice hand.

I was lucky enough to not have him bet. I think I would just call a majority of the time.
On this particular river, with the A /images/graemlins/spade.gif on board I might have raised against the sillier opponents.

Nobody has mentioned it, but he might call the turn and the river if he has some medium spade.

Do you fold if you're checkraised on the turn?

no idea. that's why i think checking is way better.

fine.
no reason to bet on the turn. you can still bet on the river (like what happened). or, just maybe, your opponent leads out on the river. thats the deciding factor: will your opponent take a shot?

UTG called with Qh7c?!?!?!? WOW if he's going to call the river he will most likely call the turn. That being said, bet the turn because he will call with his baby flush while praying you don't have one.
