Needless to say, this post contains about 20-30 hands that were pertinant to my first Stars 2-table tourney, which I finished 2nd in. There's a part down below where I turn Gus Hanson-ish and push all-in almost every hand. I'm going to put some of my thoughts into each hand where I can.
I don't want to offend anyone with the length of this post, I just hope for some feedback regarding my play(especially after I got down to T325 chips with 100/200 blinds).

I was "firing that 2nd bullet" here on the turn tryng to get SB to lay it down. I always like to try a move like this early on in a tourney(when I can rebuild if I get beat) against what I consider the "right" player. Anyone like this play against what I considered a weak-ish opponent?

My first mistake of the tournament.. I should have seen this coming. I put my whole tourney on the line here and tangled against another big stack without the nuts..... lesson learnd, but now it really gets interesting.. .some of the best poker I've ever played is about to come.

The last hurrah... I thouht he was making a play with over-cards here, but I was wrong.... that's how it goes in the world of poker....
Overall, my HU opponent was a very gracious winner, and considering where I came from in this tourney, I was more than happy with 2nd place. I've been playing for maybe 8 months now, and this was, what I feel, my best poker played to date. It was a great table, with great, nice, personable people playing and I think the final 6 of us really had a good time. The winner remarked that he liked my style of play.... "nice and aggressive", he called it, and I have to admit that I felt honored to have a peer tell me that after what I considered a great match when it was down to 6 of us.....
I think even if I were to have NOT made the money here, I still would have been this happy about the game, because I feel that it was made as enjoyable as it was by the others that shared in it with me. This may sound corny, but this was the biggest high for me in poker yet.
Thanks to those I played against, you made it all I could ahve wanted for my first 2-tabler, and more.

The last hurrah... I thouht he was making a play with over-cards here, but I was wrong.... that's how it goes in the world of poker....
Overall, my HU opponent was a very gracious winner, and considering where I came from in this tourney, I was more than happy with 2nd place. I've been playing for maybe 8 months now, and this was, what I feel, my best poker played to date. It was a great table, with great, nice, personable people playing and I think the final 6 of us really had a good time. The winner remarked that he liked my style of play.... "nice and aggressive", he called it, and I have to admit that I felt honored to have a peer tell me that after what I considered a great match when it was down to 6 of us.....
I think even if I were to have NOT made the money here, I still would have been this happy about the game, because I feel that it was made as enjoyable as it was by the others that shared in it with me. This may sound corny, but this was the biggest high for me in poker yet.
Thanks to those I played against, you made it all I could ahve wanted for my first 2-tabler, and more.
