I'm in the CO. The only player I've played with before is to my right, and generally a LAG. First hand. I get the red Aces.

UTG raises to T50, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, MP1 raises to T100, MP2 calls, LAG raises to T200...

What would you do here?

Push.

I did this last night in a 10+1 SNG on Stars. First hand I get AA and raised in EP. After 2 re-raises, I pushed all-in. Got one caller: KK

Board came 473QK

and it was my quickest exit yet.

I still think my push was the right move though.

I pushed, got three callers. The board: AK65J, 3 hearts.

Winner was UTG, who showed QTo. Other hands were KQs (spades) and 99.

This brings me to wonder if I should have just raised to T400, then gone all in on the flop. Although, if he'd go all in with QTo preflop, I'm sure he'd go all in with an OESD. UTG ended the tourney 4th, making no money. Can't understand why /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I can't think of a situation preflop where I wouldn't push with AA.(save for bankroll arguments... and if you need to cash so badly that you wouldn't push, maybe you shouldn't be playing).

I'm more than willing to lay down AA after the flop if it appears that there are hands out there that beat me(flush, straight, etc.)

Isn't our goal to get our money in when we've got the best of it though? Pre-flop, AA is the best hand. Period.

While in the above situation, pushing is the best play, I can certainly think of many situations where I'm not pushing with AA. 1st hand UTG? Granted, I'm never folding (and maybe that's what you meant), but I'm not always pushing.

Push. No question about it.
