This is awesome.

I really wanted to wait to watch on tv to see who won etc.

But I am totally caught up in this!

Greg, if you win you have to treat the zoo to a freeroll or something /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Go Greg, Go!

Guys, there is not a one of us that hasnt dreamt of being in the position that Greg is in now. We are proud of you and are pulling for you.

This would be one thing that sucks about a large score. All the people who think you "have" to give them something. Asking for a handout is just plain greedy. You should just be thrilled that you might have the opportunity to get your poker questions answered by a world champion. And even that would be pure generosity on Greg's part.

Well I guess part of me hopes he doesn't win it all. Just jealously on my part because after the Letterman and Leno appearances and having his face on the cover of numerous magazines, will he have time to come and give us the great advice he's given over the years. And if he does I wonder how long it would last before the fanboys and hanger ons just overwhelm him. Get ready to answer the question "What's Raymer's Id here?" about a million times if he goes on the become the champ.

Well put Ed. I'm just looking at things from how I'd feel if I won (or placed high) in a big tourney...and people asking, or hinting, that I should give them a handout would make me leave quicker than even the trolls who say I won on all luck and that I suck.

as Forrest Gump once said...

"Stupid is, as stupid does"...........or in this case....

"Scum is, as scum does".....

There will always be a group of bottom feeding "groupies" eager to cling to anyone who makes a big score.....

Greg will handle it, but it will be a pain in the arse......

Yep. I'm rooting for him to win even though I only know of him from reading the forum.

However my selfish side fears that if he wins this thing, he'll never answer another question or posts another thread again, as the moron trolls will pollute every one of his threads, spam his PMs etc. If you've ever been to a PStars table where Moneymaker sits you'll know what I'm talking about.

He can wipe his tears of frustration with his $5million after the win. Man o man, you gotta be nothing but happy for this guy, and I thought making it to the WHUPC in June was a big deal /images/graemlins/grin.gif
