I'd kind of like to see it unfold on ESPN. Makes it more exciting I guess.

I suppose in order to do this, I'll have to avoid 2+2 for awhile. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

And every major news outlet for the next week. Once the news services pick up on a $5 million 'jackpot', they'll put it out there.

its goign to be almost impossible not to know. the winner will be on all the late night shows and everyone playing poker will talk about it...if you can avoid knowing till august or whenever they show it i'll be impressed.

I hear ya, but it's just not possible to dodge the result. Every poker web site will have it plastered everywhere. Even if you cut all poker web site outs of your diet for the 2-3 months, however long til the telecast, it won't matter if you play poker at all, online or B+M, , players will be buzzing about it and you'll be spoiled. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I do kind of feel this way. Then I remember that I've seen the 2003 WSOP about 2390643906794367937 times, give or take. I know the outcome, yet I'll probably still watch it for the 2390643906794367938th time when it comes on again (and get bitched at for doing so). I'm sure my fiance is excited that ESPN is expanding their coverage to 22 hours this year.

I agree completely. I used to avoid reading the WPT articles in CardPlayer because I didn't want to know who won an event that had yet to be televised. Then it became way harder when they started putting the winners on the cover. Now I just don't care. By the time the show actually airs, I would have forgotten all the major details about how the win actually took place.

The only way to avoid not knowing the WSOP winner would be to stay locked in your house for 3 months and living like a hermit.
