it was great to get money quickly from all my accounts. i could transfer money for free between them to maximize bonuses. of course, maryland residents can no longer use neteller, so i got [censored]. i thought i fixed this by getting firepay. of course, they charge for deposits and withdrawals. party poker and their skins don't even withdrawal back to firepay, so i have go through some crazy cycle to get money back into my firepay account. then, tonight i find out intercasino waits a week to let firepay deposits clear, whereas my neteller deposit would have been instant. i can't even play poker there for a week! what the hell. i hate maryland. i am moving when my lease is up. sorry about the rant, but i am pissed off. anybody else from maryland? is there a better alternative to firepay?

Only reason I can think of is the Maryland State Government is forcing banks in the state not to accept neteller EFTs.

If this is the case aces961:
Then he could probably still use neteller for his online transactions and then when he wants to cashout he could filter money into a Party skin and use IGMPAY to get it back into his bank.

Or does Neteller just refuse to do business with anyone with a Maryland address. There's gotta be a way to work around this, be creative, find a long lost brother who lives out of state or something.

I'd like to know the exact scoop on this (I have a relative in MD interested in poker)

Can you use a bank in DC or VA yet still have your MD home address on neteller?

How else do Marylanders work around this and still use neteller?

yes...this what i thought of as well...just because the maryland transactions are barred doesnt mean you cant use the neteller acct to transfer money back and forth online.

unless neteller immediately cuts you off if you have a Md. address...but i think that is unlikely isn't it??

in fact...i thought that europeans had this problem all the time....they cant make any direct transfers to and from their banks....and their banks may not even honor the neteller checks....but they can still use neteller to transfer money back and forth between various sites.

i agree that using a bank of a border state may be an idea worth looking into...even if you still have a Md. address.
MD's laws shouldn't apply to the other states i would think (big question-mark here)...
and Maryland is shaped in such a way that you can't be too far from a different state (DC, PA, WV, VA, DE).

when i moved 15 minutes up the road from north-Mississippi to Memphis i decided not to swtich accts because my bank in Mississippi is terrific regarding the online transactions AND if any other state is going to have probs like MD i suspect TN might be a leading candidate (although there isn't anything immediately pending to justify these ideas to my knowledge).

Neteller will not even let you set up an acct with a MD home address. IGM is great for party and their skins, but Firepay is unfortunately the best alternative for the other sites.

wow....that's terrible. what's up with neteller for doing that i wonder?? i just thought it was something done my the maryland banks.

in that case i agree, you are kind of screwed in maryland arent you?

weird alternative would be to set up a bank account at the address of a friend or relative.
and even this is kind of difficult isn't it?? since banks i think want proof of residency or something to open the acct

sorry....i'm just not very knowledgeable about banks and accounts, etc. i'm just brain-stroming here.

This is correct, but if you already had an account prior to this I am sure that it is a policy in Maryland whereby you cannot fund your NT account, but you can withdraw funds. There was a funny issue that came about in support the other week. It was related to how old the NETeller account was.

Please contact NETeller support for full clarification on this matter as I "think" you can still use them to move your funds about.
