First hand at the table. I have K/images/graemlins/heart.gif Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif in the BB. Folded to CO who limps, button raises, SB folds, I call, CO calls.

Flop: Qxx all diamonds

I bet, CO folds, button raises, I 3 bet, button caps.

Turn: J/images/graemlins/spade.gif

I check and call.

River: A/images/graemlins/spade.gif

I check, button checks.

He turns over red kings. Comments?

I would have check-raised instead, as I want CO to fold if he has a diamond and button dont.

He had Kings, nothing you could do really.

I play the same way as Trix... check-raise the flop.

I think this is party 2/4 or 3/6 isnt that what you play joker ?

Noone folds a diamond in these games, not even if the pot is only 6 usd...

why not fold it on the turn ?

If this is not a totally loooneytuney you have to be beat.

You think CO would call two cold with 6d6x fx ?

Now that I've thought about it a little more I think folding on the turn isn't a bad idea. There aren't many hands that would play the way your opponent did that you can beat. You're drawing dead to JJ and QQ. You have 2 outs against KK and 5 outs against AA when he doesn't hold the A of diamonds. You can only beat AKo when he holds a /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, but it's not that likely that he would play the hand this way. With the odds you're getting I don't think folding is a bad idea in this spot. Good thinking...

Are you from Jylland Trix ? Are you playing 7 stud at Royal tomorrow night ?

Even when they call they make a bigger mistake by doing so. That's why check-raising is better than betting out and 3-betting.

There odds are better when they have to call a bet on the flop and then have to call your 3-bet. They are also more likely to call when they already called a bet than when they face 2SB cold.
