I wasn't sure if the HU forum was for games that start HU or just turn out that way, so I'm posting here for now.

BB seems to be a reasonable player.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Keats13 is UTG with 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif.
Keats13 raises, folded around to BB who calls

Flop: (4.4 SB) 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
BB checks, Keats13 bets, BB raises, Keats13 3-bets, BB calls

Turn: (5.20 BB) 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
BB checks, Keats13 bets, BB calls

River: (7.20 BB) 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
BB checks, Keats13 checks

Final Pot: 7.20 BB

Comments? Reckless on flop? Weak on river?

I like it. Lots of people would c/r with a big diamond there and that looks like precisely what he has. If you lost to a queen, so be it.

This is in the correct forum.

MAybe it is better to call tha raise on the flop and then bet out on the turn thus making the odds and urge to draw a little worse.

When you call the raise I think the BB will bet out again... Why do you think he's on a draw?

i dont think so. If he is not on a draw hero is losing anyways, so there is no reason to put more usd in the pot.

If BB bets out i think it is close between calling down or folding, however if BB checks hero has to bet.

When you think he's on a draw you have to raise to let him pay because you're ahead.

When you don't think he's on a draw you should fold to the check-raise or 3-bet because this play costs you less because your probably taking it to a showdown (2BB after the check-raise when you re-raise vs. 2.5BB when you call).

When you 3-bets the flop it's not very likely that he will bet into you on the turn. It's more likely that he will check-raise again or just call you down.

makes good sense.

Do you fold to a c/r on the turn?

Yes, I fold to a check-raise on the turn.

Yes, I fold to a check-raise on the turn.

I figured that, just trying to make sure my post-flop laydowns are cool. I dont think I bet/fold when appropriate.

Thanks G
