i was wondering if any of you guys have ever though of sort of "pooling" all your neteller points together. just have a few 2+2er's enter every point they have into a drawing and then if somebody wins they just split it up amongst the people who are involved.

not that i'd want to enter any drawings yet as i only have 100,000 neteller points, but i'm guessing there has to be tons of you guys out there with hundreds of thousands of points if not a million, and you could sure stack the deck in your favor if you pooled your points.

Ok, so looking at their monthly giveaway, it's pretty close to the drawing, so I'll take the 43,073 entries and bump it up to say 59,880 by the drawing time.

I put in my 600,000 points for 120 entries making it 60,000 total entries and giving me a 0.2% chance of winning the $3,000.

So my entries which I've saved for 4 months are worth $6?

I suppose one could buy in and cash out of cardrooms every day with your whole available bankroll to accumulate more net points, but it doesn't seem to have much ev.

Currently there are:

Weekly Draw Draw Date: May 30, 2004
Prize: $500.00 USD
Total Entries: 15998
Cost to enter: 1000 NETPoints

Bi-Weekly Draw Draw Date: Jun 6, 2004
Prize: $1000.00 USD
Total Entries: 5123
Cost to enter: 2500 NETPoints

Monthly Draw Draw Date: May 31, 2004
Monthly Jackpot: $3000.00 USD
Total Entries: 43509
Cost to enter: 5000 NETPoints

Maybe the bi-weekly draw would be the best to chase?

I currently have 1.4million points!

1.4mill = 1400 entries to the $1000 draw
or 560 entries to the bi-weekly.

Guesstimate a pool of 15million points required to have a 50% chance of winning??!

Can't seem to find the list of previous winners at the website, but I recall there were a few names who had won the monthly draw on more than one occassion?

I have never heard of a 2+2 'er winning anything at neteller. I have the gut feeling this neteller points thingy is a scam of some sort.

I know 2 people from various contacts etc. that have won a drawing. I feel pretty confident that it's not a scam.

Hard to be a scam when it doesn't actually cost anything to enter /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just dump all my points every week into whichever pool has the best payout...am I making some sort of mistake by not saving them?

I guess I do lose the opportunity to say I have 10 kagillion ponts on this site, but is there really any difference between having 1 20% shot, and 200 .1% shots?

That's one for the probability geeks. I mean 200 .1% shots you might win twice!

Personally, I have so damn few neteller points, that I just throw them in a draw at random. I figure they are basically worthless.

Although if I had 6 million of them like some of you seem to, maybe I'd feel differently.

if 600k points is worth a whopping $6 in terms of tourney entries as was determined earlier in this thread...then each transaction back and forth i'm guessing is going to be in the neighborhood of $0.10 perhaps.

yippee!!!!!

i have 378k pts btw.

yeah....i had thought of this as well.
would be kind of hilarious to try to build up points that way.

Hasn't it already been discussed here that no one has ever known anyone to have actually WON one of these drawings??
