Typical 2/4 party table.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, J/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 raises, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, Hero calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, MP3 calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) T/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG folds, MP3 calls.

River: (6.75 BB) A/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 8.75 BB
Main Pot: 8.75 BB, between Hero and MP3.

I'm thinking maybe had I 3-bet preflop and check raised the flop or turn, I might have gotten him to fold his unimproved overcards...

Yes, 3-betting preflop would give you much better chance of taking this down w/bets on the flop and turn.

Oops, I misread that one. I thought you raised pre-flop. This is a definite 3-bet pre-flop. The hand will probably play cleaner when you do this.
