441 players remaining.

Howard Lederer has been eliminated by Doyle Brunson. Brunson moved in on the flop with a flush draw, Lederer called with top set, and Brunson's draw hit.

Not much he could do about that, was there? Too bad.

Nope. The dead money lives on to fight in the hands of the more experienced players. If you don't have enough of it in your stack, these things happen. Next year, Howard.

At least you took out Dutch. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

hmmm...cant arugue with howards play, but he must have known he is taking about a 30% chance of losing it all on play.

However, was Doyle's move a good one on flop....risking it all for a less than 50% chance. Even if he did not know that howrd hit top set, he must have known he needed draw to hit or else he's out

If you read Super System, that's what Doyle does. He will push all-in on a draw. If he is called, he realizes that he is probably behind but has outs, and if he isn't called (probably a good percentage of the time) he picks up a nice pot.

He didn't necessarily need his draw to hit. He needed Howard to fold or he needed his draw to hit. I don't think Brunson would have gone all in if he knew Howard had no chance of folding.
