I usually call a preflop raise with a suited ace. ( I only play low limit hold'em or inexpensive no-limit freeze outs). It seems that I rarely make a flush when I call the raise but I often get beaten by a suited ace when I am the raisor. It that just luck or is calling a preflop raise with a suited ace a wise decision?

I am new and don't really understand much about odds and probabilities.
