View Full Version : The turn checkraise is so much less scary.....

We've talked recently about how rarely you're good when you get checkraised in this spot on the river. On the other hand, you're good very often when checkraised like this on the turn. I think the one exception is when you raise pre-flop, are flat called on a paired flop, then checkraised on the turn. That one usually means trips.

how close is the turn 3 bet on this hand ?

I would have been tempted to 3 bet but ultimately I think the QJ9 would have stopped me

Close. If the turn brought the flush draw as well, I think that would swing it to a 3-bet.
