all I've seen is (finally) an official update on entrants cap. capped at 2400 with 200 alternates, thanks to poker3000.com.

One thing Las Vegas has lots of is hotel rooms. 2,600 people showing for a poker tournament is nothing for Vegas. When a quarter million are on the Strip for New Year's Eve, it's only a mild logistical problem.
