In that situation, I'm folding 0% of the time on the turn.

But then again I'm not the greatest card reader. HU i find it hard to fold my TPTK's and my Overpairs. I bet you there's some people on this forum who would advize 3 betting the turn. I'd play it exactly how you did.

With the raise on the turn, it's reasonable to think you have somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 outs, as I think AK, AQ, AJ and possibly KQ are more likely than KT here. The pot is laying you 7.5:1 and you're 5.5:1 to make your hand if two pair or better is good, and 10.5:1 if you need the straight.

Maybe this makes me a calling station, but heads-up, I'm calling this.

Hey Mosch, I feel like I haven't seen you in SS in a while, welcome back.

Can you explain how you got 10ish outs on the turn?

Your feeling is correct, I haven't had much time to read or post lately. Very, very busy working, it's good to be back!

On the turn I think you most likely have either seven or four outs (either kings and tens, or just tens). Against some opponents you might be ahead, but I think that's 99% wishful thinking.

so 4 tens, and then maybe 3 kings, maybe one of the aces, for a total of 7 outs?

4 tens, are definitely good for at least half the pot, probably more. 3 kings are reasonably good, and if another ace shows up you have a better chance of your aces being good.

I don't have a great way of discounting my outs accurately in this situation. I just subtract a number and hope I'm somewhere close to right. Someday I should try to find a better way to do this.

Why not check the turn? Just a question to think about...
