4/8

On button w/ red aces. Villain is UTG+1. It is fortunate that he's really drunk because the deck has been clobbering him. He's up about $600 in four hours despite an implicit agreement btw. him and his friend to raise each others blinds in the dark and that kind of crap. Perhaps most relevantly though for the sake of this post, he has been kicking my a$$. Calling my KK raises with T6 flopping a 6, taking lots of heat and catching a 6 on river etc. This has happened to me in about 4 HUGE pots and I am stuck. Don't feel real shaken, but am aware that this isn't my day. Not sure how much it is effecting my play.

I will say this though, he is not a total idiot post-flop and his raises do mean he's got something. He's shown down lots of ugly cheese, but it typically matched the board nicely.

3 limps to me on button w/ red Aces. BB calls. 3 calls. 5 to flop.

Flop: Q 4 8 (2 hearts, 1 diamond)

Checked to me, I bet, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, rest fold.

Turn: 6c (Q 4 8)

UTG+1 checks, I bet, UTG+1 raises

Should I 3-bet here? Fold? or call and check call river? Something else?

Thanks,
PT

If you are inclined to raise, wait til the river. That'll insulate you from a 3-bet most of the time unless he has a straight. Generally though, its OK to just call this one down and bet if he checks.
