There is 5 of us left in a pokerstars sit n go. 2 big stacks, me, and 2 small stacks.

I open with a 3x bb raise to 150 with AK. The bb who is a big stack calls. Flop is 253. He bets out the minumum (50). I call. The 4 comes on the turn. He checks, I check. The river is a blank and he just moves all-in.

There is 375 chips in the pot, I have a 2200 chip stack and a good chance of making the money. At best I probably have a split pot and at worst he has a 6. I decide to risk my 2200 chips for the potential to make half of a 375 pot.

He had pocket 6's and I got broke as I deserved. Don't you think this was the stupidest call ever? I just made it real quick like out of instinct and then after I did it I realized I am a total retard.

Well, his river all in does look like a bluff considering the turn was checked through. Also, what are the chances he calls your PF raise with a 6? Still, I guess there's no reason to risk your whole tournament with the bad end of a 4 straight on board.

Could have been worse, there could have been a four flush too, and he could have beat you with a 6 high flush.
