Yup...I've seen this a lot before. There are other hands here that can pay you off.

With 8 people seeing the flop, I, for one am going to be concerned that one of those is on a flush draw and will not fold until the river. I like the check on the river. With less folks seeing the flop, I'm all for betting that river.

You do not put MP1 on a weaker king or underpair? Because he raised the flop does not automatically mean a flush draw free card. More times than not, you are ahead. Which is where the river value bet comes in...
