View Full Version : Foxwoods 10/20 vs. 5/10 Kill

Hello all,

I've played at Foxwoods about one weekend a month over the last 1-2 years. Mainly the 5/10 Kill and some 4/8. The games are usually very weak (on the weekends at least). Lately I've seen some of the same losing players at 5/10 playing in the 10/20 game. How much of a difference is there (in skill level, action, etc.) between the two games?

Thanks,

Steve

Why are you asking us? You're the one who's been playing the Foxwoods games for two years. You specifically said you were familiar the losing players.

You tell us what the difference in the games is.

I played the 10/20 for the first time about a week ago. The players were lousy. Not any different from a typical 5/10. Two of the players seemed to want to get into a 20 game. They appeared to know each other and be regulars. They were lousy. Maybe not Q4o lousy, but lousy.

The reason I'm asking is b/c I haven't played the 10/20. If I have I would know the difference and I wouldn't have asked the question.

Thanks for the response though!

That doesnt seem like it helps him. I think he is saying he has never played the 10/20 game and seeing if anyone has. Are there the same type of weak players or better players?

There are plenty of fish in the 10/20 game by the way. If you are regularly beating the 5/10 kill then you should have no problem just be prepared for a few more solid players at the table.

Hey Steve, I think what Dynasty is trying to say, albeit rather harshly, is that you're good enough to spot the fish at the 5/10 game. That probably means you're good enough to evaluate the tough seats, if any, in the 10/20 game after watching an orbit or two.

It really depends on who is at the table. At this level this depends on what time of the day/week you are going to play.

Welcome to the forum,

Thanks Joe!

I will be playing late Friday night and all day (and night) Saturday. I would think the games are the weakest during this period.

You already have all the information you need. You play the 5-10 game and I assume you beat it. You've observed the 10-20 game and can spot players in it who can't beat 5-10.

You don't need somebody on the forum to say "The 10-20 game is soft". That's not going to give you any more information than you already have.

It does seem that you need somebody to give you a confidence boost. So, here it is. Get your ass into the 10-20 game this weekend.
