hands free headsets also available.

if technology does not scare you at least a bit, then you are already cheating.

click pic, but please don't buy it

Those look like telephones. Are you scared of telephones? Get ready for this - they already exist! In large numbers! Widely spread!

Oh, ok, you were joking. Sorry.

audio instant messaging with quality sound will be a boon to some. also, it will allow friends in different countries to avoid toll charges and the need for cell phones.

but let's hope that like you, nobody sees this as anything more than just another pair of telephones

and this is bad because?

If you're drawing to the angle that it will enable people to easily cheat at online poker, I'm not buying into that. If you're going to cheat you're already doing it using a telephone or AIM or ICQ or whatever...no one is sitting around going "damn I Wish I could cheat with my friends, but there is no convienant way to do it!"

*sigh*

ok, i'll bite and explain it a bit more.

it is easier to cheat wearing a headphone and talking on a clear internet connection than it is to type your holding and next move into an IM box while the table is popping forward, or holding a cell phone under your chin.

all this represents is internet-phone, which has been around forever, becoming as clear as regular phones in the audio department, and affordable for all.

yes, i know cell phones already exist, and i know if people want to cheat they already are. this just makes it a whooooooole lot easier.

glad you are not worried about it.

Considering that gamers have used programs that relays voices on audio input for years playing games like CS, DoD etc i doubt this will be news to the dedicated colluder.

I don't think this will bring a new wave of colluders.

WRONG! I'm off to collude right now! Me and all my friends are going to use this new fangled long distance voice talk technology (maybe we should call it a tele - phone from the greek for far talker?) and cheat our asses off.

Internet poker is dead! AOL voice messenger killed it.

don't fret penguin. in the $50 buy-in, you are safe from the boogey men.

dunno if you know this, but they have little earphone peices for cell phones now adays, you can actually talk on a headset while using your cell phone. exciting stuff! They've also had this technology for a while, I used to play video games over the internet while wearing a headset and talking in real time to my team mates.

Like I said, this isn't going to bring any new colluders into action, they can already be doing the same thing just as easily. In fact I would question their intelligence and ability to collude if they are using a crappy AOL product, heh.

actually, when these guys get above $50 buy-in nl and 3-6 LHE games they will realize that little toys like these make it easier for the 20-40 to 40-80 dirtballs that are, as we speak, using IM and cellphones to attempt at colluding. in a 3-6 game, there is no concept of the danger.

but hey, if nothing else it is good for team expenses. no more big cell contracts for high minute allowances. you can now find a friend overseas to further confuse the site, and hell, why not slap a webcam on each others screen to REALLY get a feel for being in the same room.

oh, i forgot. people who collude are already doing it, and these new tools won't add any shiit to the pile.

If you are going to be overly paranoid about it....why post it on an internet forum where people who collude can actually find out about it?

I still say it wont matter. Hell if I was a colluder I still would be doing it the way I am now instead of with crummy AOL technology. But maybe you are right, and I should use these to collude with instead. I now have you to thank for my further efficiency at colluding!

I too think we should all sign a petition and try to stop the sale/production of such dangerous weapons.

Who cares if it makes it easy to communicate with your family, children, loved one, business contacts or whatever the idiot who invented this was thinking about.
Let's explain to him that is bad for poker, he'll understand.

BTW, I see you haven't checked PARANOIA as I suggested a few days ago...
And congartulations on your birthday. You must be...9? 10? today... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was also thinking that perhaps we could try the new toy.
We could create a team and kill the 30/60 at Party, the 5/10 Nl at Stars, the 25/50 NL at Prima and if we can get an all-european team, ther is plenty to do at Ladbrokes.. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

How about it Granny? I suggest a team Granny, banana, Simon and William. and when we attack Ladbrokes we need a replacement for Granny.

Then after a couple of months, we can all retire to the Bahamas, sunbathe all day by the pool and talk about the good ol' days /images/graemlins/grin.gif
