Theresa Heinz-Kerry paid 14.7% of her income in income taxes. So here is a poll:

Funny.. I noticed that you didn't offer other choices. It's like asking the question "Have you stopped beating your wife lately?".

If she votes for GWB, maybe she could end up paying even less in a few years. 14.7% seems way too high for someone of her weatlh.

It's not my fault. She just won't listen.

Maybe she didn't need the income tax cut you gave to the superrich. Maybe the tax system favors the superrich at the expense of the middle class.

Bill Maher says Kerry sometimes has to whack Ms. Heinz on the bottom because otherwise she won't come.

Heinz Kerry reported a taxable income of $2.3 million, primarily from dividends and interest on savings and investments. She earned another $2.8 million from tax-exempt bonds. So far, she has paid $587,000 in estimated federal taxes, an effective tax rate of 11.5 percent, compared to the top federal income tax rate of 35 percent.

In April, she paid an additional $280,000 for her 2003 and 2004 federal tax liabilities. Kerry campaign spokesman Michael Meehan said he did not know how much of that payment was for 2003, so he could not say what her total tax liability will be.

In addition, Heinz Kerry disclosed that she distributed more than $4.6 million in charitable contributions through the Heinz Family Foundation, which she and her late husband established.

Since Theresa is not running for public office, but you are, how about an accounting of how you made your money from the sale of the Texas Rangers?

Buy Low, Sell High (plus get an extra ownership share for being the "active" partner)

Fairly standard partnership arrangement IMO.
