I'm a long time lurker, but this is my first post.
Did I play this too passively? Please comment/critique.

I'd play it the same way.

When you cap the flop and he comes out betting on the turn, I think that is a fine time to slow down.

What do you think of calling his three-bet on the flop. Then, raise him on the turn and fold if he three-bets again?

I agree, you played this right. Your hand is strong, but I would start to think that I was up against 2 pair or probably trips and my opponent was hell bent on not getting outdrawn by a flush. After the capped flop, and him betting into you again... It is a clear call. If you raise, then you risk getting reraised.... and if you are truly behind here to a set... you are drawing very slim.

I think you played it fine.

You've got too big of a hand to fold, but not enough to confidently reraise on the turn.

hey, if you plan to call him down - dont cap the flop...otherwise raise turn. but in my opinion thats a bit overly aggressive for QQ

Because he might be overplaying JJ? You can get to the showdown for 2 bets. Why put those 2 bets in on the turn then fold?

Edit: Don't discount A9 or Ax spades as possibilities here.

Calling the flop 3-bet with the intention of raising a turn blank is a viable option. I wouldn't feel good if he 3-bets the turn, but I wouldn't fold there either.

I pop this once more on the turn and call down if reraised.

He coldcalled an UTG raise and then went bonkers on that board. Seems like pocket nines or fives to me, at least thats what you usually see here. I like your calldown line, because your play up to that point says pocket higher than jacks. He just wasn't listening.
