These are three situations that I need critique on. Is there anyway to avoid the outcomes. Am I too weak that I don't drive away the flush draws? Please look especially at Situation 3.


Situation 1

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, Hero calls, Button folds, SB folds, BB checks.

Flop: (3.50 SB) 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 6/images/graemlins/club.gif, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="blue">(3 players) </font>
BB checks, MP2 checks, Hero checks.

Turn: (1.75 BB) 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="blue">(3 players) </font>
BB checks, MP2 checks, <font color="CC3333">Hero bets</font>, BB folds, MP2 calls.

River: (3.75 BB) K/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="blue">(2 players) </font>

Final Pot: 5.75 BB

Results in white below: <font color="white">
MP2 shows 4c Ac (flush, ace high).
Hero shows Qs 9s (three of a kind, nines).

1. After only one limper I'm probably folding Q9s. You're probably not going to fold anybody drawing to a flush. Bet the flop.

2. 3-bet the flop. I would lead the turn but wouldn't put in any more raises after that. (Unless you fill up.)

3. Fold the turn when it comes back to you raised and re-raised.

This is unrealistic thinking, flush draws don't fold.

Hand 1: I'd fold preflop. Bet the flop, trips are a vulnerable hand and you don't want to give flush draws a free card

Hand 2: 3-bet the flop, then go from there..

Hand 3: Not much you can do about this hand
