How about those Cards at the Borgata?? In the hold'em game now they have the Jumbo cards, which are even harder to see if you are like to me and like to give a small peek at your cards.

This is what happens when you have non-poker players implementing new policies.

I vote for the small cards.

Anyone have any info on this??

Last time I was down there, the big cards were used at the low limit tables. the 10-20 still had the regular ones. (Thank god)

Once the AC gambling commission approves a new card manufacturer every thing will go back to status quo.

I do agree the cards do suck.

the PL has had the big cards both times I've played it. very weird.

While we're complaining about the Borgata, I would just like to point out that the chip structure for the 6-12 game sucks. Reds and whites slow that game down an incredible amount. I've never seen a dealer have to make change more often than at that game.

$3 chips would really be the bee's knees for the 6/12--everything would be 2 chips/4 chips. $2 chips would be cool and would make the pots more mountainous, but the $3 SB would be a pain.

Maybe they could use $2 chips and make the small blind $4. As if that games needs more action...

I couldn't help but think of the huge cards Like these (http://gscentral.net/hitme.htm) that they used on the The Price is Right when I looked at this post. I'm guessing the cards aren't quite that big.

east coast card rooms just suck compared to CA /images/graemlins/smile.gif. it's so much easier when a limit has its own chip. I think they should use $2 chips for the 6/12 and make the SB $4 or $2. I haven't played the 15/30 there, but I doubt it has a 7.50 SB.

let's play one night this week!

no, the cards are about that size. they have gigantic teacups as well. just kidding.

the cards are actually the same physical size, but the paint on the cards is a much larger font (not sure if that is the right word). basically you have to flip your cards up farther to see what you have.

Those are the super index cards. They are great for the old-guys who can't see the flop, but you do have to bend them more in order to peek at your hand.

Turning Stone uses these, and I hate them.
