Going to vegas next week & ... I havent bought my plane ' tickets & I havent reserved an hotel'room yet .Im going to try to qualify in the supersattelite for the main event. On which website should I look for a reservation ?

- Im from Montreal & I would like to be in Vegas from may20th to 29th .
- I will go alone
- I dont mind about the quality of the hotel/motel , as long as I can sleep ( maybe less than 6 hours/day ) & I can take showers.
- It must be close of the horseshoe ( less than 20minutes ' walking about ) .
- Is budgetsuites.com , a nice place to check

...& , anyone could tell how are done the supersattelites , I know , its 225$ ' buy-in + 200$ rebuys ?

- thanks for any help .

Check out www.travelaxe.com. (http://www.travelaxe.com.) I stayed at the Plaza overlooking fremont street for $300 for 8 days. The hotel quality was great for the price, and not bad otherwise. They also have bingo which is sweet if you get really drunk and obnoxious.

The supersatellites are $225 +200 rebuys and a 200 or $400 addon after the first hour. You get 1500 in chips and the blinds go up every 15 minutes (or maybe its 20?):

25-25
25-50
50-100
75-150
etc.

Some players rebuy a lot, many don't rebuy at all.

Downstairs in the sportsbook they run $50 satellites for the super. These give out $225 seats to the first and second finisher. However, if you have already won a seat you can use your win as a $200 rebuy and get $25 back in cash. These satellites are hugely +EV but giant variance. I think it would be very possible to win a seat through a super without rebuys however, I got pretty close while getting nothing in terms of cards, and I'm not much of a tourney player.

Hope this helps.

...& for the rebuys ? ...can we/they rebuy at any time , like during the 1st hour or something like that . Do we/they have to have less than a specific amount to be permited to rebuy ?

Thanks for your help .

if you use budget suites you need to provide your own linens and such. Travelaxe is a good tool but your best bet is to find a price on travel axe and then call the hotel directly.

Check expedia.com and travelocity.com . Quick check on my part shows that you can get round trip tickets on your dates for around $360 (I believe this is US$) on Northwest or Continental. You might try the Days Inn ($50-$60 a night 4/5 blocks from horseshoe).

The rebuy is during the first hour, and I believe you have to have less than the starting chips to rebuy. The 200/400 addon option I wasn't sure about.

If you're planning on rebuying I would say don't. Simply play again in the next event (there are 2 a day every day), if you don't have a solid stack by the break, the addon won't help you very much.

Fitzgerald's and Lady Luck have good rates.

You start w/ 500 chips in the rebuy tourney and if you want to have any chance you'll be in for 600 after an hour. The blinds go up way too fast for just a 500 chip stack. The players are pretty bad though.
