There were way too many bad hands to count. I lost track of all the bad beats that took place at this table (as well as the atlantic one.)

tooobusy and I were heads up for like half an hour, with me coming back from a stack size of about 2400 at one point. Last hand I got him all in against my two pair with an open ended straight (this guy never met a draw he didnt like) and he rivered it /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Figured I may as well post these:

1: heyrocker (Chicago), $72.00 (40%)
2: dr. jekyl (Kennebunk), $54.00 (30%)
3: kaartki (Jyväskylä), $36.00 (20%)
4: XlgJoe (lindley), $18.00 (10%)
5: NEWBAUM (Edmond),
6: pdking (Virgie),
7: ch3g+ (Beavercreek),
8: Toro85 (Worcester),
9: davetm1971 (West Hartford),
10: FloppedFlush (Alexandria),
11: thomastem (Marengo),
12: rangerfan16 (Armonk),
13: spoonie (Los Angeles),
14: codewarrior (Mentor),
15: Proudfoot (Savage),
16: Stinkinbadge (Reno),
17: pjd72 (wappingers falls),
18: bds18 (Allentown),

My first 2+2 win, and it was done on the backs of Jekyl and wayabvpar. Against wayabvpar: 55 all in on J95 clubs flop, called by way with the flush, turn K, river K. Against Jekyl (last hand) all in with K2, called by...KK? Flop comes 822. Thomastem also had a noteworthy bad beat. He had JT all in on a JT6 flop against J8, turn 8, river 8. The 78% percent rule was superceded by the 90% rule today!

Thanks again to all for the good game, and congrats to Heyrocker for his back to back money night. I was glad that my newbie luck finally kicked in and took me past the bubble. Bout time.

This hand was from hand 4 of the tourney. Because it was so early in the game, I didn't yet know that the BB was a very fast and loose player. I didn't recognize him as a 2+2er, and having seen more of his play, I'm pretty sure he wasn't.

After watching him push in on a few more of the next several hands, I was irked about the laydown. He could easily have had KJs or some such crap. Would've been nice to double up so early.

Would you have folded? Is it a no brainer against an unknown player? Comments?

I love the slow play.

I JUST HATE THE RESULTS!!!!!!

I ( dr. jekyl) was heads up with heyrocker in the first game. Equal stacks. We had been folding an unusual number of times, even without completing the small blind. Sharp as he is, I'm certain we were both getting really bad cards. To the point where I commented "fold-o-rama".
When I finally got KK in the small blind I didn't want him to fold so I just completed, he raised, I reraised and we got to all in. Which is where I was willing to be. Wanted to be. ( I don't have the hand history, but this is close)
his K2...............flop x22 and I was toast.
Was it greedy to want more than the blinds with KK?

I missed the second game last night. So I hopped on a $20SNG, had a 3,5 in the big blind. Flop was 2,4,6 rainbow. Ugly. You have probably guessed, I slowed played it, calling $50......figuring I'd bet it on the turn and win $500 instead of $150. Well the running 6,6 boated someone"s A,4
and .........

Can I see a show of hands (so to speak) of the NEVER NEVER NEVER....slow play anything, ever, perspective.

Of course when it works......it feels so good....

I'm from the never, never slow play school. I see others do it with great success but it never seems to work out for me so I generally don't do it.

The tourney lasted a little longer than I had anticipated, so my wife was rushing me to get out the door (we were meeting her friends out). Consequently, I overplayed a couple of hands, but managed to suck out and take down a couple of pots in which I was a dog. Eventually got cute with A7o on a steal and got put all in against AK. Hello, third place! /images/graemlins/grin.gif
