What is the "standard" weight of a poker chip in the U.S. casino?

In Atlantic City it seems to be 9g. I can't speak for anywhere else with authority

9g at foxwoods in CT, cant say for anywhere else, but I'd guess the same.

13 grams. I use 11.5 and they are fine.

Where are these casinos where the standard weight is 13g? It's not the East Coast from what I can see, and from what I remember of my trip to Vegas last year, it wasn't 13g there either?

they are not 13 grams in vegas, they are something of the order of like 9.5 grams or so. ebay sellers would just lead you to believe that the heaviest chip is the most realistic. It really doesnt make that much difference as long as they are not much less than 9grams they should give you a pretty realistic "weighty" feel.
