HAND 1:

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (3 handed)

The table is winding down, only 3 players. I remember hearing on TV that KXo beats a "random" hand, so I fiure KJo must be awesome.

Preflop: Hero is Button with J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
<font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB folds, <font color="CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero caps</font>, BB calls.

Heads up, I flop 2nd nut flush and turn gutshot. This is all an appropriate amount of aggression, right?

Flop: (8.50 SB) Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="blue">(2 players) </font>
<font color="CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, BB calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) A/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="blue">(2 players) </font>
BB checks, <font color="CC3333">Hero bets</font>, BB calls.

River: (8.25 BB) T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="blue">(2 players) </font>
<font color="CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, BB calls.

Final Pot: 12.25 BB
<font color="#990066">Main Pot: 12.25 BB, between Hero and BB.</font> &gt; <font color="white">Pot won by BB (12.25 BB).</font>

Results in white below: <font color="white">
Hero shows Jd Ks (flush, ace high).
BB shows Kh Kd (flush, ace high).
Outcome: BB wins 12.25 BB. </font>

HAND 2:

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with T/images/graemlins/spade.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds.

He was an aggressive player and this was a very aggressive table. I had seen small pocket pairs re-raised into many overcards. Also, I suspect my table image is passive/weak/tight, so when he played back at me, I thought he was just trying to push me off. In the moment I felt it was important to not be seen as a folder, and I didn't know when to give up. Should I have just check/folded the flop, or is there value in trying to buy the pot in this manner? If yes, then when do I give up? Clearly earlier than I did. Bet flop and fold to raise?

Flop: (5 SB) J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="blue">(2 players) </font>
SB checks, <font color="CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">SB raises</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">SB caps</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) 6/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="blue">(2 players) </font>
<font color="CC3333">SB bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: (8.50 BB) 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="blue">(2 players) </font>
<font color="CC3333">SB bets</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 9.50 BB
<font color="#990066">Main Pot: 8.50 BB, won by SB.</font>
<font color="#990066">Pot 2: 1 BB, overbet by SB.</font>

Results in white below: <font color="white">
