How to get rooms thru the poker room in Vegas?

I've heard it referenced that you can book a room in Vegas thru the poker room and actually save some $$ on the room. I would like to do a poker trip this summer, and it's good that the rooms are cheaper due to the 115 degree heat. I would like to stay at where I would prefer to play, and if I can get a better rate at Bellagio or Mirage by booking thru the poker room, I'd to do so. Can this be done, and how do I go about doing this?

Call the poker room. Tell them you want to get a room at the poker rate. It's that simple.

What are the stipulations to this? And what can kind of discount can I expect?

Frankly, you might just want to check any special rates for the days you are going (check their website for any promos).

My wife and I went last July and stayed at the Mirage for $75 a night (weeknight) which is still less than what their casino rate is ($89 a night I think).

Basically, the stipulation is that you have to report in with the brush when you play so they can keep track of your time. At the Mirage, I believe it's 8 hours a day per room to get the casino rate.

Monte Carlo has a good rate right now. $59 weekday. I think four hours play is required.
