That's cute...I'll give you a pass on all the crap that you've done that's resulted in meaningless deaths. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anyone else harbour the slightest suspicion this incident may have been staged? /images/graemlins/blush.gif

I don't. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that the incident was a true moment of compassion.

Bah I'll be a grumpy old cynic by myself then.

Regardless of whether Bush is a personally compassionate person, the issue is one of political compassion. He may well be a personally compassionate person, I don;t know, but this epsiode seems a little convenient following all the criticism he's come in for of late surrounding the use of 9/11 imagery in campaigns. By the way, would anyone here like to defend twin the ban on photos of Iraqi casualties being brought back, no matter what the context or use, and use of 9/11 imagery for a political campaign? Maybe we've had this discussion and I missed it, but it seems pretty outrageous.

Given that the event with the girl didn't get any coverage on Fox News, isn't this compelling evidence that it was indeed not a politically staged event /images/graemlins/smile.gif?
