Sit and Go tourney @ Party with 4 players remaining.

I was forced to go all-in with 44 in the big blind b/c I had a few chips. Two more players were in the pot who had A8 and KQ respectively.

The board looked like this: 9 T 7 6 5 (suit not important)

One player made a straight with A8, another player-who was all-in and lost-had nothing (high card), and I had a pair of fours. But I finished fourth place and the player who had KQ finished 3rd!!!

Why??? I had a pair and he had nothing. Any ideas?

You lost because you had less chips than the other guy who was also all-in. Online sites and most poker rooms have a rule that when two players are all-in and both lose the pot the player with the most chips at the beginning of the hand places higher.
